About Me

Hi! My name is Amber Merlini. I currently reside in Long Island, New York. I studied English at the State University of New York at New Paltz with minors in Creative Writing and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. I earned both a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in English during my time at the school. Throughout my education, I not only studied literature, but also found my voice in writing memoir and creative nonfiction.

I’ve been interested in blogging since I was fourteen when I started following fashion blogs and watching YouTube vlogs. My favorite part of my day was going home after school and seeing new posts or videos from my favorite content creators. In my early twenties, I still follow the same creators and also some I’ve found more recently. I decided to finally start a blog right after my college graduation, feeling like it was the perfect time.

When I first started this blog, I wanted it to focus on my life and adventures, but after some self-reflection, I’ve decided to focus on my personal growth in my career, health, and life. I have barely written anything since I finished my master’s degree, which is something I want to change. I’ve had a love for writing since I was a child, and I don’t want to let my creative block control my passion any longer. When it comes to my health, I have struggled with my weight for a few years now and think I’m finally ready to put my all into gaining back my confidence, energy, and self-love. I would also love to include life updates to my blog so that when I look back, I can see how I’ve grown as not only a creator, but also a person.

I’ve always been a big believer that speaking about your own struggles will benefit others even if it’s just by knowing that they are not alone. I hope that by providing a look into my own little life, I can be a positive influence on the readers of this blog and spark conversation and community.
